Saadia Khan Ski Cup Ganga Chotti, AJK

Saadia Khan Ski Cup Finds a Snowy Stage at Ganga Chotti, AJK

In February 2023, the snow-clad peak of Ganga Chotti became the centre of winter-sports spotlight as the 2023 national edition of the Saadia Khan Ski Cup was held there — together with the Ganga Choti Winter Sports Festival.

With more than 80 female athletes from across Pakistan — representing regions such as Azad Kashmir, Punjab, Sindh, KP, ICT, GB, and institutional teams like the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) — the event marked the first time AJK hosted a women-focused national winter sports championship.

Under bright winter skies, skiers competed in classic disciplines: Slalom and Giant Slalom for Alpine Skiing, and Giant Slalom / Parallel Giant Slalom for Snowboarding.

When Ganga Chotti echoed with cheers in February 2023, it wasn’t just about medals — it was about hope, inclusion, and possibility.
