The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) proudly serves as an affiliated member of the Winter Sports Federation Pakistan, playing an important supporting role in the promotion and development of winter sports across the country.

Through its extensive aviation infrastructure and operational capabilities, PAA facilitates safe, reliable, and efficient air connectivity to Pakistan’s northern and mountainous regions, which are home to major winter sports destinations. Improved access to areas such as Skardu, Gilgit, Chitral, and other high-altitude regions directly contributes to the growth of winter sports activities, training camps, national events, and sports tourism.

PAA’s continued efforts in airport development, flight operation improvements, and weather-resilient aviation procedures help ensure year-round accessibility for athletes, officials, and sports enthusiasts. By strengthening regional connectivity, PAA supports the Winter Sports Federation Pakistan’s mission to promote skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and other winter sports, while encouraging youth participation and international engagement.

As an affiliated member, the Pakistan Airports Authority remains committed to enabling sports tourism, athlete mobility, and the overall advancement of winter sports in Pakistan through dependable aviation support and infrastructure excellence.

Winter Sports Federation Pakistan

The Winter Sports Federation Pakistan (WSFP) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of skiing in Pakistan. The federation was formed in December 1990 and to this day handles all the winter sports including skiing, alpine, cross-country, ice hockey, ice skating, snowboarding, curling, biathlon, slalom, downhill, and so on.
