Ice Curling Rink

In the inaugural season of 2018–2019, Ice Curling was formally introduced in Pakistan under the guidance of the Winter Sports Federation Pakistan, marking a landmark advancement for winter sports in the country. With a strong commitment to promoting the physical and mental development of Pakistani youth, the Federation initiated the organization of competitive Ice Curling events at the national level.

Through sustained efforts and a clear vision for the sport’s growth, the Winter Sports Federation Pakistan has worked diligently to elevate Ice Curling as a leading winter sport in the nation. A major milestone in this journey has been the establishment of an Ice Curling Rink built to international standards, offering athletes a professional environment in which to train, refine their technique, and compete at an elite level.

This achievement reflects the Federation’s ongoing dedication to expanding winter sports infrastructure and nurturing future champions in the realm of Ice Curling.

Guinness World Records

The Winter Sports Federation Pakistan (WSFP) has demonstrated exemplary commitment to the advancement of winter sports across the country. A landmark achievement in this regard was the successful hosting of the World’s Highest Altitude Marathon at Khunjerab Pass in September 2019. This extraordinary event showcased Pakistan’s capacity to organize world-class sporting competitions amid its stunning natural landscapes. The Guinness World Record recognition awarded for this marathon stands as a testament to WSFP’s innovation, strategic vision, and determination to elevate the nation’s standing in the global sports arena.

The Winter Sports Federation Pakistan (WSFP) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of skiing in Pakistan. The federation was formed in December 1990 and to this day handles all the winter sports including skiing, alpine, cross-country, ice hockey, ice skating, snowboarding, curling, biathlon, slalom, downhill, and so on.
